True love, rare and precious!

It can leave, come back, but true love is rather rare.

Of all the people who have known true love, one third (34%) have lost it and the consequences of this loss are evidently felt in regards to their happiness. The RHI result of these people is of only 73.50 while it rises to 84.70 for those (66%) who have managed to keep this profound love in their lives. The difference is of eleven points, a considerable difference.

Individuals who live alone (52%) and individuals who are single parents (65%) are those who have stated to have lost true love the most. This explains, at least in part, their status.

It is also interesting to note that individuals who admit to maintaining distrust in regards to the feeling of love are one of the largest groups to have lost true love (53%). On the other end of the spectrum, those who trust the idea of love are more likely to still have it in their lives (88%). The same phenomenon occurs with individuals who state that their lives are guided by love, 77% out of them still have true love in their lives.
Therefore, if we trust these statistics, the fear of love results in its demise, while the wish and desire for it attracts it and even comforts it. We could even discuss, to a certain degree, of conditioning.

Once again, money seems to influence romantic relationships. The proportion of individuals stating that they have true love in their lives increases with the financial revenues of these individuals. Fascinating, isn't it?

A Hope that Diminishes

Amongst those who have never known true love or have experienced it but lost it, 55% of them have little to no hope of living it again while 45% maintain confidence and hope for love's return. This optimism, which happens to be the 12th influence factor of happiness, directly reflects on the level of happiness of those who possess it. The proof? Their RHI result is 6 points higher than those who have lost hope. Evidently, this hope decreases as the ages of the individuals increase

Can we experience true love more than once in one lifetime? It seems that the answer to that question is yes. That is, at least, the opinion of 58% of people while 30% believe that true love is a once in a lifetime occurrence. The remaining 12% chose not to answer this question.

The belief that true love can be achieved more than once in one lifetime is slightly stronger with men (61% vs. 54% for women). It also increases with the level of education of those answering the questionnaire. Individuals living in an urban setting are also more likely to believe so than those living in a rural environment (61% vs. 44%).
